Feedback and Revisions

During the midterm submission presentation the class was able to make a "complement sandwich" where they write something good about my project, then something I can improve on, and then something else that's good. As a result, I was able to gain around 50 compliments and 25 points I could improve on. Most of the complements I got were about the overall look about the magazine, and how it looked professional. Conversely, many of the suggestions given were little things about the magazine, such as space usage. I organized the class suggestions and also some of my own critical reflections about my magazine in three basic sections:
1. Cover Page:

  • Restructure the magazine title to make it perfectly horizontal as it's slanted in the final cover
  • Re-photoshop Jon's head onto the words so it makes it look better
  • Find a new word replacing "Muscle Man" because it isn't referenced anywhere else in the magazine
  • Make gold-gradient background more visable

2. Table of Contents:

  • Make the pictures blend in together better
  • fill up the extra space in the middle of the page
  • colors seem bland
  • Change font of "muscle magazine" and "contents"
  • Align titles

3. Article

  • put the footer "Dec.2018 Muscle Mag..." on left-hand side on first page
  • Move "By: Daniel Keim" in better place
  • Put more lines down each column
  • Remove arrow
  • fillout white space

I plan to revise all of these issues because it will make my magazine look it's best and fit in with the rest of the magazines in it's genre.
