Oxygen Magazine
*Title- the magazine title "oxygen" is covered by the women's head to show the viewer the full body of the women, making it more visually appealing to the potential buyer.
*Cover- The focus of the cover is to show the potential buyer the fit body of the model to 1. show it is a fitness magazine and 2. to get the reader to say "I want to look like that" (female audience). The text on the sides of the cover summarize the articles presented in the magazine. The articles featured in the article are the cliche "new you" fitness workouts and tips, food preparation and guidance, and home based body-weight workouts. The texts are mostly black but some are red, to create focus on those specific articles to attract the buyer. The color scheme as a whole is red, grey, and black.
*Page layout-On the first 3 pages there are ads for fitness-related products, then there's the contents, another three pages of ads, the editor's note on page 11, and ads on the rest of the pages until page 17. The ads to this point were mostly supplement and health-based products. On page 18 the first article appears which shows several pictures of a women performing various exercises and captions next to them tell what they are and how to do them. The next two pages have an article called "brick-house back" which is showed in the same format. There's a one page supplement ad on the next page and then on the next page there's a one page ad of the same format of the previous two. The next page (24) shows a one page ad. The ads up to this point seem to be showing a large picture of an individual and then doing an action and the product or website with not much words. The rest of the magazine goes in this format of a one or two page article with an ad in about every other one. The articles shift from workout-based to food-based on page 25 up to page 38 and then the workout articles formatted like the workout articles explained above start and then end again on page 57 where the there's pictures of locations where one could workout featured in the magazine. Those pictures end on page 67 where the food category starts up again which just include recipes for healthy meals. The food ends on page 86. The next articles showcase first-hand accounts of successful women who had their lives' change cliche. Those accounts end on 92 and the magazine is finished off with ads.
